Western Australian Philatelic Events

The Annual General Meeting of the WAPC will be held in the Home for Philately on Tuesday 4th October at .30 pm.
Nominations for office bearers and names of club delegates should be with the secretary before the 6th September.
It is important that your club should be properly represented at this and all meetings of the WAPC.

Swan River Stamp Show 8th and 9th October, Guild Function Centre, Hackett Dr. Crawley.
The Court of Honour is John Dibiase’s “The Postage Stamps of Western Australia’.
There is still time to enter the display section of the show. Entry forms may be downloaded from the WAPC Swan River Stamp Show web site.
The auctions will be conducted by Ace Auctions. If you have material for the auction, the closing date is Friday 19th August with a minimum auction lot estimate of $30 and minimum consignment of $300.
The vendors commission rate is 15% plus GST with funds received 3 weeks after the sale. Vendors receive a copy of the catalogue and their list of lots in the second week of September.
The commission rate can be reduced for larger consignments by calling Ian Bolton at one of the numbers below discuss.

Eaton Club’s Stampfest is Sunday 30th October from 11.30 am. until 5.00 pm. Lunch will be provided. Items for the “Sale by Tender” are welcome. Three dealers have been invited.
This is a club event but the day is open for all who would like a day out at a stamp event. The address is Bethanie Lifestyle Village, 111 Eaton Drive Eaton. Do try and get at least one car load form your club,
and let Cyril Summerton 9725 0967 know that you are coming. This is for catering purposes.

Southern Clubs Quiz at Bridgetown on Saturday 26th November, organised by WAPC. Held in the Silver Chain Community Centre, Peninsula Rd. Bridgetown (next to the hospital) 1.30 pm until 5.00 pm.
Bridgetown club will provide refreshments and they will have a sale table of better than average material. Bring your money but the table has more than enough stock.
